Sherlock Holmes/Alternative Realities

September 7th – 16th October 2012 – Meiringen, Switzerland

John Doubleday has a longstanding association with Sherlock Holmes. He was commissioned by Swiss Tourism to produce a bronze sculpture of the famous detective at Meiringen. A second Sherlock Holmes is seen by thousands of people every day at Baker Street Tube Station.

He has been commissioned to produce an Exhibition for the Museum in Meiringen which will coincide with the Sherlock Holmes Society of London’s 2012 Pilgrimage to Switzerland. John will also be taking part in an organised debate with Professor Moriarty. Given the massive upsurge in public interest in Sherlock Holmes due to recent TV and Film adaptations, it should prove a lively experience.
